 1. Avoid using traditional glass cleaning products
Where possible skip using commercial bleach-based cleaners as they can often create more work for you. If you’ve tried to use a glass cleaner on your pool fence, you may have noticed smudges or smears left behind. That’s because commercial glass cleaners leave an unwanted residue on your fence that can never be fully eliminated. Avoid bleach-based cleaners too, as they can etch the glass over a period of time.

2. Simple is always best
Be sure to use a non-abrasive cloth, we recommend using a microfibre cloth with warm soapy water. Rinse off with a low-pressure garden hose. Air dry or use a good quality squeegee to remove excess water.

3. Clean regularly
Cleaning a glass pool fence is far easier when you keep on top of it. Hosing down the glass after use of the pool will remove any salt or chlorinated water, reducing the frequency of cleaning. Then clean as often as necessary to keep dirt and grime at bay.

4. Remove stubborn streaks and stains
From time to time you may notice a build-up on your glass, you may need to use a mix of white vinegar and water to help remove these streaks and stains. Spray the solution onto the glass and allow to soak for several minutes. A damp microfibre cloth should then be used to wipe over the area.

5. Consider the use of an easy clean treatment spray
Prevent salt and chlorine water staining by using an approved glass treatment product. With non-stick, easy clean properties and additional protection against salt corrosion, this is an investment that pays for itself, leaving you with more time to enjoy your sparkling pool!

TIMBER FENCING -
While it is a classic choice, timber fencing is affected the most by weather conditions. This is due to the fact that timber expands and contracts when it comes in contact with different temperatures. And the warmer temperatures are potentially more damaging for your timber fence. But this doesn’t mean you should avoid the beauty and traditionalism of a timber fence; just make sure you choose a durable product that is less likely to crack or warp and you effectively maintain your fence as the seasons change.  You can avoid many of the negative affects the Spring and Summer by simply staining or painting your wood fence to help keep the elements at bay.

COLORBOND FENCING - 
One of the great benefits of having a Colorbond fencing is the fact that it is very durable when it comes in contact with both hot and cold weather, and can withstand the most extreme of temperatures. Colorbond fencing is also very easy to clean, which is a huge benefit after those summer thunderstorms. Colorbond won’t fade or crack, peel or chip like other fences making it a great choice all year round.

CHAIN WIRE FENCING:
Like Colorbond fencing, chain wire is a durable and resilient fencing option, especially during the warmer months. They are strong and can withstand just about any type of weather, including heat and sun damage. However, if you’re looking for privacy, chain wire fencing may not be what you’re looking for. They are see-through which means you won’t have the additional privacy, but you’ll still get access to all that Queensland sunshine and cool summer breezes.
